Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of your billing cycle.
You won't be able to create new clients until you upgrade or remove an existing one. Existing work and data is never deleted.
Every new account starts with 14 days of the Freelancer plan — the full product, no credit card, nothing to cancel. When the 14 days are up you move to the Free plan automatically. Nothing is deleted and you keep access to everything you created; you just go back to the Free plan limits of 3 clients and 1 seat until you choose a paid plan.
Yes. Every paid plan includes unlimited video calls with clients, with recording, at no extra cost and no per-minute charges. Video calls are the one thing the Free plan does not include, because they cost us money for every minute used.
Direct Debit is available on Freelancer, Studio, and Agency plans. The Free plan supports Stripe card payments only.
In pounds, euros and Australian dollars, yes — the price shown is the final amount you pay, with local VAT or GST already included. In US and Canadian dollars, prices are shown before tax, and any sales tax that applies where you are is added at checkout. The note under the plans tells you which applies to the currency you are viewing.
Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation. You can export everything, contacts, invoices, proposals, before your account closes.
