Yes. The free plan covers 3 clients, 1 seat and 1 GB of storage, with Kanue branding on your client portal. Video calls are the one thing it does not include. Paid plans lift those limits — they do not unlock features, because every paid plan already has every module.

No. You can sign up and start using Kanue immediately without entering any payment information.

Kanue uses Stripe Connect and GoCardless to process payments. Your clients pay via card or Direct Debit, and the money goes directly to your account. Kanue never holds your funds.

You can invoice your clients in 29 currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY and INR, and bill different clients in different currencies from the same account. (Your own Kanue subscription is charged in one of five: GBP, USD, EUR, AUD or CAD.)

Yes. You can configure your tax settings (VAT, GST, sales tax) per workspace. Tax rates are applied automatically to invoices, and you can customise the tax label to match your region.

Yes. You can set any invoice to recur weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually. Kanue generates and sends them automatically on schedule.

Yes. Kanue includes built-in e-signatures. Clients can review and sign contracts on any device. Every signature includes an audit trail with timestamps and IP addresses.

The client portal gives each of your clients a branded space where they can view proposals, sign contracts, pay invoices, track project progress, and submit support requests.

Yes, on any paid plan. Point your own domain at your portal for a fully white-labelled experience. Otherwise the portal runs on a kanue.io subdomain carrying your branding — your logo and colours either way.

Yes. Every paid plan includes unlimited video calls with clients — multi-participant calls, screen sharing, recording, and one-click portal join. Video calls are the one thing the Free plan does not include, because every minute costs us money.

You can set up workflows triggered by events like proposal accepted, contract signed, invoice paid, or project milestone reached. Actions include sending emails, creating projects, generating invoices, and more.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, and hosted on Neon Postgres in the EU (London). Every workspace is isolated by workspace scoping enforced on every query, with automated tests asserting that isolation. Portal access tokens are stored as SHA-256 hashes, never in the clear.

Yes. You can export your clients, invoices, and project data at any time. We believe your data is yours.

Data is stored in Neon Postgres databases hosted in secure cloud infrastructure. We process payments through Stripe and GoCardless - Kanue never stores card details.
